CARING FOR YOUR
XPEL FILMS & COATINGS
FOR XPEL PAINT PROTECTION FILM (PPF)
Whether you have the brilliant shine of ULTIMATE FUSION™ or the sleek satin finish of STEALTH™, these guidelines will keep your PPF looking flawless.
WEEKLY WASHING
To maintain the film’s appearance, regular washing and cleaning are essential. We recommend washing the car using XPEL wash solution or Xpel Foam soap to avoid excessive contamination buildup. Car washes are safe for paint protection film, but it is recommended to use touchless car washes or those that are well-maintained and newer to avoid any issues.
LIMIT MOISTURE
Avoid getting the PPF wet or driving in the rain for the first 24 hours.
NO HIGH PRESSURE
Do not use a pressure washer near the edges of any film. A strong stream can lift or damage the material.
DON'T POKE THE BUBBLES
Small, hazy spots or moisture bubbles under the film are normal and will evaporate on their own within one to two weeks. Do not try to push, poke, or press on them.
STAIN REMOVAL
Remove bug guts, bird droppings, or other stains as soon as possible with XPEL PPF Cleaner.
STUBBORN SPOTS
For more stubborn stains, 99% isopropyl alcohol can be used, but be extremely careful to keep it off the vehicle’s painted surfaces.
KEEP IT SEALED
To maintain the film’s high gloss or satin finish, apply XPEL Ceramic Boost at least once every six months.
SELF-HEALING
Light scratches in the film will self-heal in 20-30 minutes at room temperature. To accelerate the process, pour warm water (120°F) over the affected area.
FOR XPEL CERAMIC COATINGS
FUSION PLUS™ Ceramic Coating provides superior protection and an incredible finish. Following these simple steps will ensure its longevity.
POST-INSTALLATION CARE
For 48 hours after installation, avoid washing your car or getting it wet to allow the coating to cure properly.
WEEKLY WASH
We recommend using XPEL wash solution or Xpel Foam soap to avoid excessive contamination buildup.
THE RIGHT WAY TO WASH
Wash from the roof down, leaving the dirtiest sections for last. Always dry the vehicle completely using a clean, soft microfiber towelor air blower. Never let water evaporate on its own, as it can leave mineral deposits. Avoid washing in direct sunlight to prevent streaking and water spotting.
QUICK DETAILING
For fingerprints or smudges, XPEL Detail Spray is
perfect for quick clean-ups between washes.
STAIN REMOVAL
Remove bird droppings, bug splatter, and other ontaminants as soon as possible by spraying XPEL detail spray to surface and wipe with a microfiber cloth to prevent them from etching the coating.
ADDED SHINE
You can apply the XPEL Ceramic Boost (as needed) for added shine and slickness. Avoid applying XPEL Detail Spray or XPEL Ceramic Boost in direct sunlight,
AVOID HARSH CHEMICALS
Do not use strong chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaning tools, as they can damage the coating.
ANNUAL INSPECTION
You will receive a no-charge appointment notification from Rogue Films once a year for a ceramic inspection and testing. This includes a free car wash.

exterior glass surfaces as well.
